Better than up a chimney

Should you let your kids sit on that stage while you talk to 400 people at the Kendal Mountain Film Festival? Well my kids have climbed, walked, skied and kayaked (in the sea!), so why not go for the whole experience and get them on stage as well.
Quite a few people have mentioned how they’d never ever seen a mountaineering speaker give a talk while their kids laid on the stage at their feet. I suppose it’s seen as a good thing to take your kids to work now and again (well unless you’re a Royal Marine in Helmund province), and I think it does a lot for a child’s confidence to sit and be watched by a theatre full of adults, while staying totally at ease. Also they get to see what I do, and maybe understand hard work and more importantly it’s rewards.
More selfishly they love selling books - which I feel very uneasy doing for some reason - plus more importantly, I didn’t have any child care.
Plug Alert - I'm still trying to raise funds for my daughter's cheerleading squad (Cheermania!) with sales of my hand strength ebook, so if you've got £3 spare than please buy one here.
