Ian Parnell said that although I have moments on comic genius (like Andy Parkin the musical), I often fall back on more base comic tales of people crapping themselves - well at my Kendal show anyway.  To be honest I did have something a little more high brow to show, but I hadn’t finished it, and winning the BT gobbled up what little time I had left, so had to make do with a mix of old and new stories.

Anyway maybe I did go a bit down the toilet humor route as I’ve just received this email: 

Andy,

Saw your somewhat scatological lecture on Saturday night, and found it to be truly motivating.  Clearly not to go and climb the west face of the Dru - that would be insane.  No, am motivated to re-ignite my passion to lay more turds and masturbate more.

If at any stage you are getting bored of the humdrum of daily life and are missing the faecal aspects of climbing, let me know and I can curl one out and post it to you.
